Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Rover in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and document entries, exits, and other security-related activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public service partners as directed.
- Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to supervision and/or the oncoming team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
