Our client, a leading Digital Transformation services firm, is hiring a Senior Data Security Specialist with deep expertise in Zero Trust architectures and a proven track record supporting federal government initiatives. This role will take the lead in designing and implementing advanced data security strategies, ensuring robust Zero Trust principles are embedded across government data environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Zero Trust data protection strategies (encryption, tokenization, and data masking) to safeguard sensitive government data across networks and repositories.
• Design and manage identity-centric access controls, defining granular permissions and enforcing least-privilege access to sensitive data.
• Implement advanced encryption methodologies for data at rest, in transit, and in processing, ensuring full compliance with Zero Trust standards.
• Oversee secure data lifecycle management, including classification, retention policies and disposal procedures, aligned with Zero Trust data protection frameworks.

Skillset

• Strong expertise in Zero Trust security frameworks and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with data security technologies: encryption, tokenization, data masking, and key management.
• Proficiency in identity and access management (IAM), least-privilege enforcement, and multi-factor authentication.
• Solid understanding of federal security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST, FedRAMP, FISMA).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
