Description

WTW is navigating a period of significant, sustained transformation shaped by global market shifts, advances in technology, AI and automation, and the evolving expectations of our colleagues and clients. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a global, publicly traded professional services company as it redefines how work gets done, how leaders engage colleagues and how transformation is experienced and delivered across the enterprise.

This is a high-impact global leadership role for a strategic communicator and change leader who can help translate complexity into clarity, drive innovation and digital fluency, and build confidence through change and strengthen how colleagues understand, connect to and act on WTW’s priorities. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communication, this leader will influence enterprise strategy execution across more than 40,000 colleagues globally and serve as a key partner to executive leadership during one of the most transformative periods in the company's history.

The Head of ICCM will lead global internal communication and change management across WTW, overseeing enterprise, segment and function efforts while upskilling and developing talent to ensure ICCM is a high-performing team. The role combines enterprise strategy, executive counsel, people leadership and disciplined execution – setting the direction for how WTW communicates internally, manages change, strengthens colleague engagement and measures communication effectiveness.

As a member of the Corporate Communication leadership team, this leader will serve as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leaders, helping shape clear narratives, anticipate colleague impact, build readiness for change and ensure internal messaging is consistent, compelling and aligned to WTW’s strategy, culture and client commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Set and lead WTW’s global internal communication and change management strategy, ensuring it advances business priorities, strengthens colleague engagement and supports measurable adoption of change.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive and senior leaders, translating complex business priorities into clear, credible and actionable narratives that connect strategy to colleague experience and drive understanding, engagement and action
  • Lead enterprise-wide change communication for major transformation efforts, including AI, automation, operating model shifts, business integration and other strategic initiatives.
  • Design and sustain a consistent messaging platform that reflects WTW’s purpose, strategy, culture and external positioning, leveraging compelling storytelling to make complex transformation initiatives relevant and meaningful for diverse colleague audiences.
  • Lead, engage and develop the ICCM team, including team leads and broader team members, building both fundamental and emerging capabilities, clarity, accountability and an inclusive, high-performing culture.
  • Equip leaders and managers with the messaging, tools and coaching needed to communicate authentically and effectively through periods of change, ambiguity and business-as-usual activity.
  • Establish change management frameworks, stakeholder plans, communication cadences and feedback loops that build organizational readiness, reduce resistance and improve colleague understanding.
  • Establish and govern enterprise communication and change standards, service offerings, operating models and decision-making processes that improve consistency, scalability and business alignment across the company.
  • Champion innovative approaches to communication and change management, leveraging AI, automation, analytics and emerging technologies to enhance colleague experiences and organizational effectiveness.
  • Use data, audience insight and communication metrics to evaluate effectiveness, identify trends and continuously improve ICCM programs, channels and deliverables.
  • Establish enterprise-level success measures and executive reporting that demonstrate the business impact of communication and change initiatives.
  • Lead enterprise-wide communication and change portfolio and calendar planning, partnering across functions to prioritize initiatives, bundle related efforts, reduce duplication, minimize colleague disruption and ensure enterprise capacity is used effectively.
  • Identify and implement efficiency levers – including AI, automation, resource mix and process improvements – to create capacity, reduce duplication, improve colleague experience and support measurable efficiencies and synergies.
  • Strong understanding of colleague experience, listening strategies and audience segmentation, with the ability to design communication and change approaches that improve clarity, trust, engagement and adoption across diverse colleague groups.
  • Build trusted relationships across Executive Leadership, the Office of the CEO, Investor Relations, Corporate Marketing, business segments, functions and regional teams.
  • Provide communication and change leadership during high-impact events including business disruptions, crisis situations, acquisitions, integrations and other significant organizational transitions.
  • Model WTW values – client focus, teamwork, respect, excellence and integrity – and champion inclusive communication and leadership practices.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Significant experience proactively leading change management and internal communication at scale across large, complex, global organizations, including major transformations, operating model changes, business integrations and M&A-related initiatives; brings external benchmarking and market insights to drive best-in-class practices and colleague experiences.

  • Deep expertise in change strategy, execution and adoption using frameworks that drive organizational resilience.

  • Proven track record advising and influencing executive and senior leaders through complex change; able to provide candid counsel and build trusted advisor relationships at the highest levels.

  • Ability to equip leaders to communicate clearly, authentically, consistently and effectively, particularly during periods of organizational and strategic change.

  • Fluency in how AI and automation are reshaping work, communication and change management – with experience leveraging AI-enabled tools (such as Copilot or equivalent) personally and across your team to elevate the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of ICCM delivery.

  • Strong people leadership, performance coaching and management, and collaboration skills – with the ability to develop leaders, build teams, strengthen skills and bring cross-functional colleagues together toward shared goals.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, including experience in managing budgets, prioritizing investments and demonstrating measurable business value from communication and change initiatives.

  • Analytical mindset – adept at using data, benchmarks, insights and metrics to assess impact, identify trends, inform prioritization decisions and continuously improve communication, change and colleague experience outcomes.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable; skilled at managing multiple concurrent priorities across geographies and time zones.

  • Handles sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, while remaining calm and effective in high-pressure environments, including crises, significant organizational change and periods of uncertainty.

  • Aptitude to synthesize direction, navigate ambiguity and prioritize actions from a variety of stakeholders.

  • Ability to design and deploy communication channels and messages for global, multicultural audiences, collaborating effectively across teams, functions, geographies and leadership levels.
