Fiscal Technician
Virginia Tech Foundation, Inc. Responsibilities: Process disbursement vouchers in an accurate and timely manner while providing exceptional customer service to the university community. Processing disbursements includes verification of the appropriateness of the expense, authorized users' signature, and available cash balance. Review and approval of disbursement vouchers entered by others ensuring accuracy of data entry. Perform check verification and check release memo during the check run process. Assist with clerical functions of the department as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must possess accounts payable experience, advanced spreadsheet and data entry skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, experience with Microsoft Office and SCT Banner Finance, fundamental knowledge of accounting, W9's and 1099 process. Associates degree preferred; or equivalent level training and/or experience in accounting or related field.
