As a System Architect on the Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a DoD client, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design, development, and operation of Zero Trust security solutions
- Ensuring alignment of designs with customer requirements and DoD Zero Trust Execution Roadmap
- Creating blueprints for IT systems, including hardware, software, networking, and data storage
- Choosing appropriate technologies and components to meet the defined requirements
- Integrating system components into a large-scale distributed network
- Monitoring and optimizing system performance to ensure efficiency and stability
- Designing systems that can handle increasing demands and future growth
- Implementing Zero Trust security measures to protect the network, data, applications, and systems from unauthorized access and threats
- Staying up to date with industry standards and best practices to ensure that systems are designed and implemented correctly
- Leading a team of engineers to ensure successful implementation of the system and integration into the customer environment
- Diagnosing and fixing problems with existing systems, as well as identifying and implementing solutions for future challenges
- Creating clear and concise documentation for system architecture designs and implementation
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and integrating large scale Zero Trust solutions
- Strong knowledge of DoD Zero Trust requirements, as defined in the DoD Zero Trust Execution Roadmap
- Leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills
- Understanding various system architectures (monolithic, microservices, etc.)
- Experience deploying Zero Trust solutions in a high-scale distributed environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills are needed to work with various stakeholders
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make critical design decisions
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering with strong emphasis on senior-level roles
- Current Secret clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- Expertise in system design, integration, and administration
- Expertise implementing Zero Trust capabilities such as user/device management, ICAM, network access control, micro-segmentation, and ABAC
- Deep understanding of Zero Trust Network Architecture and the components involved
- Strong understanding of DoD IT standards, industry trends, and best practices for ensuring system reliability and security
- Proficiency in frameworks and tools, as well as a strong understanding of system architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Experience implementing on-premise, cloud, and hybrid-cloud systems
- Experience deploying and integrating systems in DoD environments
- Certification such as Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF 9), and Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr)
- Certifications in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Experience working in DoD DDIL environments

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
