Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting department and work directly under the Controller. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with accounts receivable activities, organizing accounting documentation, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain company books and financial records using QuickBooks.
• Enter vendor invoices accurately and timely into QuickBooks.
• Assist with monitoring accounts receivable balances and follow up with clients regarding outstanding invoices.
• Prepare and coordinate weekly check runs for vendor payments.
• Organize and maintain accounting files, records, and supporting documentation.
• Support the Controller in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience using QuickBooks in a professional environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient communication skills for client and vendor interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the accounting team.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 10am-2pm (Flexible)
