TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Tappahannock, Virginia, 22560!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical-Surgical nursing License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS certification required Must-Have: - Epic charting system experience required - BSN preferred Description: Locals are allowed at the same rate. 3x12 night shifts available. Previous charge experience is required. Patient ratios of 4-6 are expected. Candidates will float within the scope if needed. Community hospital experience is preferred. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Daily census is around 15-18 patients. There are 24 beds in the unit. Patient diagnoses include a range of medical conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, diabetes, NSTEMI, CVA, TIA, atrial fibrillation, and COVID-19. Surgical procedures managed include total joints, amputations, and GI surgeries. Special procedures include chest tube insertions and paracentesis. Candidates must comply with natural nail policy. All candidates are required to submit to fingerprinting as applicable. Modules will be assigned during orientation and are required to be completed by the end of the orientation week.
