Project Manager - New Installation
Your main responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you’ll own the full project lifecycle for new installations, driving high-quality, financially successful outcomes. You’ll partner closely with sales, field superintendents, and customers to meet specifications and resolve any technical challenges along the way.
Project Management
- Oversee new installation projects from start to close-out, ensuring efficiency and profitability
- Manage submittals and coordinate timely delivery of materials
- Work with Field Superintendents to track progress and proactively address delays
- Partner with Engineering and local/regional leadership to keep projects on track
- Maintain vendor relationships and support forecasting and budget planning
- Identify and manage change orders, including approvals before work begins
Financial Ownership
- Manage project revenue and ensure alignment with fulfillment guidelines
- Drive timely invoicing, targeting 90% collection prior to turnover
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure certified payroll is completed accurately and in compliance with prevailing wage requirements
Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all work meets Schindler and customer standards for quality, performance, and safety
What you’ll learn

- Practical experience with project management tools and systems
What you bring
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Preferred
• Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry
• Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints
• Strong financial acumen
