Job Description

As Global Employment & Labor Law Senior Legal Counsel, varied responsibilities include:

• Provide legal counsel on employment and labor law matters across global jurisdictions.
• Advise on state, federal and international policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and other legal documents.
• Support internal investigations and provide guidance on employee relations matters.
• Manage and oversee outside counsel for litigation and employment matters worldwide including the US, LATAM, EMEA and APAC.
• Collaborate with HR and management to ensure lawful and effective employment practices.
• Monitor changes in employment and labor laws and advise on potential impacts.
• Provide training and updates on employment law developments to internal stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Employment & Labor Law Senior Legal Counsel (Global), should have:

• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Experience of employment maters across the US including CA.
• Global employment and labor law experience, including managing outside counsel overseas.
• Strong knowledge of employment and labor law in multiple jurisdictions.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and regions.
• The client is unable to offer work sponsorship, candidates must have the right to work in the US now/ indefinitely.
• This is a hybrid role in Reston, Virginia (VA), candidates must be based within commutable distance or able to relocate to the area.
