Occupational Therapist - OTR/L

AB Staffing is looking for experienced Occupational Therapists (OT) for the upcoming 25/26 school year.

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of Virginia.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
• BLS/CPR Cert.

Job Description:

• Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location - Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom that best suits your experience and skillset.
• Contract through the school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
• Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Competent care is rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Salary:

• $2,060.00 - $2,175.00/week.
