Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Advance your nursing career in the Operating Room with this contract opportunity. This role calls for an experienced Registered Nurse who is dedicated to delivering the highest quality perioperative care. Collaborate with a skilled surgical team, ensure patient safety throughout all phases of surgery, and provide critical support during procedures.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an Operating Room setting
- Strong understanding of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating room and surgical instruments for procedures
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status before, during, and after surgery
- Assist surgical team as a circulating or scrub nurse as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards
- Provide patient advocacy and support throughout the surgical experience
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and team members
- Handle emergent situations with proficiency and composure
