Mid Level / Journeyman ServiceNow Developer
Job Description
Job Description
Description:
As a Mid-Level/Journeyman ServiceNow Developer at Ares, your role is instrumental in shaping, creating, and keeping our client's ServiceNow platform. You'll collaborate closely with multifaceted teams to grasp business needs, convert them into technical solutions, and ensure the seamless execution of ServiceNow applications. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to showcase your ServiceNow development prowess while contributing to Ares' growth and triumph.
Your responsibilities include leading the customization and development of ServiceNow applications, encompassing Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Catalog. You will craft and enhance applications using diverse Development Platforms like ServiceNow, SharePoint Online, Power Apps/Power Automate, Salesforce, and Tableau.
Collaboration is key as you partner with Product Owners, the Platform Architect, and Business Analysts to strategize optimal implementation approaches for each requirement. Your expertise in configuration and coding best practices on each platform will be essential in creating the necessary functionality.
Testing is a crucial aspect of your role. You will develop, conduct, and document test cases for newly developed functionality, whether individual or team-contributed. Proficiency in agile methodologies is a must, encompassing analysis and design of business requirements.
You will also leverage your expertise in standard ARL development environment tools, such as Jira and GitLab. In addition to your technical responsibilities, as a Senior, you may lead a team of senior, journeyman, and junior ServiceNow Developers, providing guidance and mentoring to ensure project success.
Business System Application Maintenance is another key area where you will undertake tasks related to maintaining business system applications. This includes rectifying and enhancing software-based capabilities, ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Framework, offering analysis and design for bug fixes and improvements, executing unit and regression tests, and effectively utilizing Configuration Management and Build tools.
Maintaining the Low Code Platform, such as ServiceNow or its equivalent, is part of your role. You will also keep a watchful eye on development activities using appropriate tools and utilize online agile Scrum tracking tools for product, release, sprint, and team member task planning and monitoring.
Source Code Management is a critical responsibility, as you will oversee the production, monitoring, and organization of all source code, scripts, diagrams, and documentation for any system within your purview, whether maintained or developed.
Your expertise in business system application development will be evident as you implement the ServiceNow Platform, ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, develop and execute ARL requirements for software customization, adhere to agile Scrum development principles, oversee daily software builds, and diligently manage all source code, scripts, diagrams, and documentation for systems under your care.
