• DSP will provide and carry out the services in the clients plan of care.
• DSP will be responsible and supervise individuals to whom he/she is assigned.
• Oversee physical care, development of acceptable habits and attitudes; management of individual behavior and helping to meet the goals and objectives of any service plan.
• Participate in individual day support assessments; ensuring the daily needs of the individuals is properly met.
• Escorts individuals to and from training and community activities as assigned.
• Provides direct supervision and guidance to ensure safety and welfare of individuals.
• Conduct and document monthly fire drills according to DMR procedures.
• Teach individuals basic First-Aid, fire safety, emergency skills.
• Observe individuals daily for behavioral changes, physical injuries/conditions and cleanliness, and conduct accordance with Individual Service Plan.
• Document all service hours and provide specific information regarding individuals care.
• Performs required housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe and orderly
environment.
