Construction Technician - Laborer

We are currently seeking Construction Technicians / Laborers with experience in outdoor construction or general labor to join our team in Berryville, VA . As a Construction Technician / Laborer, you will be responsible for the installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) for various municipal, industrial, storm, and sewer line rehab and repair projects. This position requires working with minimal oversite while still adhering to instructions closely.

The starting pay is $20.00-$24.00 per hour depending on experience and possession of a valid CDL license. Candidates with prior CIPP experience may be able to negotiate a higher starting rate.

What You’ll Do:

• Repair various types of sewer lines by using a specific product and process
• Ensure pull-in tube is properly prepared for installation by examining D-Rings, chains, and attachment to pulling cable
• Install the prepared tube using a winch, backhoe, crane, or other appropriate material
• Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
• Cure resin products using an inflation tube, banding boots, layflat, boiler hose, etc.
• Learn / train on Insituform’s products, processes, safety procedures, installation techniques, and equipment
• Drive various vehicles (pickup trucks to tractor-trailer rigs) to haul crews and equipment
• Perform set up and clean up tasks at job site / shop

What We Need From You:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience as a Construction Laborer and / or Installation Technician highly preferred
• OSHA certifications are a plus
• Valid driver’s license required with a clean motor vehicle report
• Must possess a Class A or B CDL and be aligned with Insituform’s motor vehicle standards, or be willing to obtain one within 180 days of being hired
• Must be able to wear a respirator and body harness while entering confined spaces
• Ability to lift / move up to 75 pounds and use pneumatic, battery-powered, or electric tools
• Comfortable working outside at job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Must be able to travel weekly and along the East Coast
