Quality Engineer - Manufacturing / Fabrication
- Develop and maintain quality standards and control systems for production processes and finished goods
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action projects using tools like 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams
- Support engineering and production teams by analyzing process capabilities and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Maintain and review quality metrics to drive proactive decisions
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve non-conformances and improve supplier performance
- Manage Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs) to ensure timely follow-through
- Create and update inspection procedures, control plans, and SOPs
- Support ISO 9001 quality management system requirements
- Provide training on quality awareness and compliance requirements
- 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in an industrial or metal fabrication/manufacturing environment
- Strong background in blueprint reading and mechanical inspection techniques
- Experience with standards compliance, continuous improvement, and corrective action implementation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on approach and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Experience in welding, sheet metal, or power generation equipment manufacturing
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Certification
- Formal education in Quality or Business Management Systems
