Day‑to‑Day Duties
- Supervise daily on‑site operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate and lead subcontractors, tradespeople, and onsite staff, providing clear direction and maintaining safety compliance.
- Develop, track, and adjust detailed project schedules and resource allocations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, material quality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on progress, costs, and safety performance.
- Manage procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment; oversee inventory control.
- Resolve onsite issues, change orders, and conflicts swiftly while preserving client and stakeholder relationships.
- Enforce company safety policies and promote a zero‑incident work environment.
- Lead pre‑construction meetings, progress reviews, and post‑project close‑out activities.
Must‑Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Valid Virginia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. construction codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional certifications such as OSHA 30‑Hour, NCCER, or PMP are highly desirable.
Nice‑to‑Have Experience
- 7–10 years of progressive construction experience, with at least 3 years as a lead superintendent.
- Successful management of medium‑to‑large commercial or industrial projects ($5M–$50M).
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple subcontractors on complex sites.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with strong safety performance.
- Familiarity with the Virginia/Mid‑Atlantic market is a plus.
