Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with experience in design, installation, startup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process equipment and systems commonly found in industrial and manufacturing facilities. This role involves working with a variety of equipment such as pumps, motors, gear reducers, and more, while understanding detailed drawings, Bills of Materials, and workflow processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and complete assigned data collection routes, including measurements of temperature, vibrations, acoustics, and speed.
• Determine work procedures to assemble, dismantle, and overhaul machinery and equipment using hand and power tools.
• Utilize precision tools such as veneer calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, gauge blocks, and optical/laser alignment tooling.
• Perform maintenance-related tasks for the repair and improvement of equipment.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with welding, automation, and maintenance repair of conveyors and motors.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• 5-10 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Licensed and Certified Journeyman classification or equivalent Military Occupational Skill (MOS).
• Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts

Work Environment

This role involves physical demands such as frequent walking, occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Duties are performed both in an office environment and on jobsites throughout the mill, with occasional long hours and overtime during emergencies or planned major equipment outages.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hopewell, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $104000.00/yr.
