Job Overview:
The Senior Systems Analyst will work independently on complex programs, applying advanced data science principles and practices to solve analytic problems. This role involves conducting requirements gathering, performing detailed data analysis, and developing solutions that include data structures, integration processes, and user interfaces. The analyst will lead and guide less experienced team members, deliver presentations, and validate machine learning models before implementation. This position requires alternating weeks in the Richmond, VA office and remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct requirements gathering and design sessions to define business use cases and solutions.
• Perform detailed analysis and feature engineering on data.
• Design and develop data structures, integration processes, and user interfaces.
• Guide and lead less experienced analysts on projects.
• Deliver presentations and insights from analysis performed or solutions developed.
• Test, compare, and validate results from machine learning models before implementation.
• Work on multiple project assignments across multi-platform environments.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Science using R/Python on Hadoop platform.
• Strong skills in statistical application prototyping with expert knowledge in R and/or Python development.
• Experience designing machine learning projects to address business problems.
• Proficiency in working with structured and unstructured datasets.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning, data mining, and statistical predictive modeling.
• Extensive experience in Predictive Modeling and Machine Learning: Classification, Regression, and Clustering.
• Understanding and experience with Big Data Ecosystems such as Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, Spark, and Jupyter notebooks.
• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake is a plus.
• Ability to create interpretable visualizations that tell a story and paint a vision.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalency; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics.

Pay Range: $80 - $85/hr. W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
