From providing boutique technical solutions in support of the DOD Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) mission set to addressing the most critical Cybersecurity threats facing our nation as a prime contractor with the DHS Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a career at Edgesource is an opportunity to do meaningful, interesting, and impactful work.

Position Overview:

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing Edgesource Corporation's daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and alignment with strategic goals in delivering mission-ready national security solutions. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, optimizing processes through the AdvantEDGE™ Framework, and driving operational excellence across departments to support intelligence, diplomatic, military, and homeland security missions. The Director plays a pivotal role in advancing complex missions from ideation to deployment, ensuring measurable impact, compliance, and resilience in contested environments. This position requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance, and industry-recognized quality management standards such as CMMI and ISO. The role is essential for fostering continuous improvement, operational maturity, and mission success in government contracting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership:

Oversee daily operations across the organization, ensuring alignment with national security objectives, compliance with standards, and integration via the AdvantEDGE™ Framework.

  • Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth, innovation in areas like AI/ML and UAS/C-UAS, and long-term mission readiness.

  • Process Optimization:

Analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to enhance productivity, cost-effectiveness, and resilience in secure, cross-domain environments.

  • Financial Oversight:

Manage budgets, monitor operational costs, and ensure fiscal discipline across business units, with a focus on quality-driven resource allocation.

  • Team Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop operations staff, including cleared personnel, to build a collaborative culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Performance Management:

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational success, track mission impact, and identify areas for enhancement.

  • Risk Management & Compliance:

Ensure all operations adhere to legal, safety, quality, and security standards, including CMMI, ISO, FAR, and DCAA. Implement risk mitigation strategies for national security challenges.

  • Vendor & Partner Relations:

Manage relationships with key vendors, partners, and service providers to support efficient resource management and mission-critical integrations.

  • Technology & Systems:

Oversee the implementation and optimization of operational systems, software, and tools—such as those for data engineering, cloud pipelines, and AI traceability—to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

· 8–10+ years of progressive operations management experience, preferably in government contracting and national security sectors.

· Proven success in leading cross-functional teams, managing large-scale projects in secure environments, and delivering measurable mission outcomes.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.

· Proficiency in operational management software, performance metrics tools, and frameworks like AdvantEDGE™.

Competencies:

  • Strategic and forward-thinking mindset with a focus on national security innovation.
  • Financial and business acumen in quality-driven small business settings.
  • Leadership and team-building capability for cleared, high-stakes teams.
