• Job Type: Full-Time (5 days/week on average)

We’re looking for a skilled and patient-focused Optometrist to join the Beyond Eyecare team. You’ll be the heart of our practice — delivering comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and managing ocular conditions, and helping patients see the world more clearly. We’re a practice that genuinely cares about both our patients and our team, and we’re excited to find a doctor who shares that commitment. Anticipated start date is June 1st, 2026.

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments

• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of ocular conditions and diseases

• Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and medications as needed

• Counsel patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options

• Collaborate with the optical team to ensure patients get the right eyewear solutions

• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records

• Contribute to a welcoming, patient-first practice culture

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution

• Active Virginia state optometry license (or eligibility to obtain one — new grads encouraged to apply)

• Someone who brings their own ideas and isn’t afraid to say “here’s a better way”

• Organized and dependable, with the clinical confidence to manage a full schedule

You’ll work five days per week on a consistent, rotating schedule:

• Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (rotating)

• Sunday: Off

• No production pressure or hidden strings

• Work directly with practice ownership, not a distant corporate office
