Ability to operate and maintain production cycles using a 7 axis (Z1, X1, Y1, C1, Z2, X2, C2) automatic
Swiss-type lathe with a 144” bar loader.

Full-Time option available.

Responsibilities:

• Machine setup to include installation of tooling, collets, and bar loader
• Load controlled programs into Path1 and Path2; select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for each product; make offsets and program adjustments as needed.
• Replace tooling based on established part counts; touch off loaded tools that have been replaced; measure and inspect finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues related to tool wear, materials, or dimensional accuracy; perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area.

Other Responsibilities & Opportunities:

• Learn established processes for fabricating cable assemblies across each line of business.
• Safely operate swaging machines
• Work with customers on job sites during installation and/or teach how to properly measure.
• Visit project locations, capture completed work with video/pictures to support marketing team
• Implement and maintain established QA/QC standards as outlines in our AS9100 handbook and controlled process procedures.
• Update and create new user guides by part; maintain user notes and tips by part identified during production runs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in machining is preferred
• Familiar with FANUC controls
• Proficient in reading part drawings

Preferred Skills:

• Identify and implement machine risk reductions during operations such as tool break detection
• Identify code improvements and suggest / test updates; implement the use of macros for part families; program new parts from provided controlled drawings
