Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of commercial buildings through vigilant monitoring, controlling access, and responding to incidents. They primarily work independently during fixed shifts with on-call availability and may occasionally interact with law enforcement agencies. Their role involves proactive patrols and swift emergency responses to ensure a secure environment for clients and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of commercial properties to monitor and deter unauthorized activities
- Manage access control to ensure only authorized individuals enter the premises
- Report and document incidents clearly and promptly
- Respond efficiently to emergencies and alarm activations
- Resolve conflicts professionally and calmly
- Monitor alarm systems and security equipment
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience in security operations
- Valid Security Officer License
- Knowledge of physical security practices and emergency response procedures
- Skilled in incident reporting and conflict management
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
