Sr. Mechanical Product Engineer, Data Center Eng, MPS

As a piping engineer at Amazon you will be working with other internal groups as well as external groups including manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Define and design liquid cooling equipment and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal and external ecosystem partners to design and develop new data center product solutions.
• Support field engineering and data center operation teams for performing root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Leverage economy of scale through standardization and modularization of data center products.
• Maintain and develop technical design procedures associated with piping and pipe support analysis activities.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise to peers, senior management and partner teams.
• Develop business justification and narratives to promote new concepts and ideas.
• Lead key initiatives for the organization while demonstrating ownership.
• Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate mechanical and associated sub components.
• Provide product design support to other team members.
• Writing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestic and internationally for up to 25% of the year.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience- 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
