Job Title: Sales Executive - Government Programs
Job Location: Vienna, VA (fully remote if you do not live in the Wash DC Metro area; if you live close by then hybrid - combination of remote and on-site)
Clearance Requirement: N/A
Employment Period: Full Time starting immediately
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales of IT services, technology account management, or business development.
Expected Travel: travel expected to local client sites as needed
Summary Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Executive to drive growth in our IT solutions business. The ideal candidate will have experience selling technology products or services such as software, cloud solutions, infrastructure, or managed IT services. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and closing deals that align with customer needs and company objectives.
Responsibilities include:
Business Development, Lead Generation & Sales
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calls, digital outreach, and partnerships. Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, and screen potential business opportunities.
- Track sales activity, forecasts, and results through Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
- Understand clients’ business challenges and recommend appropriate IT solutions to address their needs.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for IT services and solutions.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects across small business and enterprise clients.
- Meet and exceed quarterly/annual sales targets.
- Design a systematic business development approach/ strategy (to be refreshed on a yearly basis) for growing core clients while obtaining and managing new clients
- Take a lead role in the development of presentations and materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
- Support development of intellectual capital to emphasize OmniSolve's unique value proposition in the marketplace
- Implement a scalable business development framework and organization to support OmniSolve’s growth
- Stay informed about the company’s IT offerings—including software, hardware, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services—and clearly communicate their value propositions to current and prospective clients
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
Client Engagement
- Understand client business needs around IT services and solutions
- Deliver tailored presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals.
- Cultivate and manage senior-level client relationships and provide input in client deliverables and client meetings.
- Develop long-term partnerships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, events and lead generation.
- Provide customer feedback to internal teams.
Account Management
- Manage relationships with existing clients to drive renewals, upsells, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Work closely with pre-sales engineers, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful solution deployment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on IT services, solutions and integrations. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including CIOs, IT Directors, and Procurement Managers.
Proposal Development:
- Provide support in capture and proposal development for RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, and presentations customized to each client’s technical and business requirements.
Contracts
- Provide support in proposal pricing, contracts, and terms to close deals efficiently and profitably.
The candidate must have:
Experience
- Experience in federal sector sales of IT services and solutions
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
- Minimum of 2+ years in sales of IT services and solutions
- Understand the competitive landscape around IT services and solutions.
- Demonstrated business development and sales success in government IT management consulting.
- Experience serving as a leader within a small business consulting firm.
- Proven ability to attract, acquire and develop client and partner relationships.
- Strong understanding of IT concepts such as cloud computing, digital transformation, enterprise content management, or cybersecurity.
- Established relationships and strong network within the IT or enterprise software ecosystem for both private and public sectors including vendor partnerships and federal agencies.
Skills
- Strong understanding of IT services and emerging practices and offerings.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Strong pipeline management and CRM experience, i.e. Monday, Smartsheets, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical aptitude and ability to engage in high-level discussions with IT professionals.
