MRI Technologist – PRN | MRI Center, Fairfax, VA
Fairfax Radiology Centers — the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metro area — is seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist (PRN) to join our team at the MRI Center in Fairfax, VA. In this role, you’ll work with advanced imaging technology and provide an exceptional patient experience while supporting safe and accurate diagnostic imaging.

About the Role
Location: MRI Center, Fairfax, VA
Status: PRN
Perform high-quality MRI imaging using state-of-the-art GE 1.5T and Philips 3T systems in an ambient suite designed for patient comfort
Support patients throughout their exam, ensuring safety, accuracy, and an outstanding experience
What You’ll Do
Perform general and specialty MRI exams, including:
Cardiac MRI
MRI-guided breast biopsies
Provide patient-centered MRI services with professionalism and exceptional customer care
Ensure safe imaging practices and compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients before, during, and after their exam
What You’ll Bring
6+ months of MRI experience and/or completion of a formal MRI training program
ARRT certification in RT(R) or MRI OR ARMRIT certification (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Strong communication and customer service skills
