Position Overview

Carter Myers Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Clerk to join our team. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $22 to $24 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of tag and title processes is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and verify invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, financial reporting, and analysis
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist with tag and title documentation and processes as needed
• Perform other clerical and administrative tasks to support the accounting department

Compensation

• Hourly pay range: $22 to $24, based on experience

Requirements:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Proven accounting knowledge and experience (1-2 years preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• Knowledge of tag and title processes is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP) is a plus
