Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 per year

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant School Director to help lead our school community. In this role, you will partner with the School Director to support daily operations, mentor teachers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood education programs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childcare professional ready to grow into senior leadership while making a meaningful impact on children and families.
About Our ProgramsOur schools provide high-quality education and care for children 6 weeks to 12 years old , including:
• Infant
• Toddler
• Preschool
• Pre-K
• Before & After School Care
• Summer Camp Programs
This role is highly collaborative and interacts daily with:
• School Director and leadership team
• Teachers and classroom support staff
• Parents and families
• Regional operations and education teams
• Facilities and custodial teams
You will be supported by one of the strongest regional support teams in early childhood education.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Assistant School Director , you will help oversee daily school operations and support a positive learning environment for both children and staff.
Leadership & Team Development• Recruit, develop, and retain a talented team of educators
• Provide coaching, support, and guidance to teaching staff
• Promote a positive and collaborative school culture
• Assist in managing daily school operations and staffing
• Ensure compliance with all state childcare licensing regulations
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment
• Support the implementation of COA's curriculum and programming
• Ensure high standards of care and educational quality
• Help maintain classroom standards and learning environments
• Build strong relationships with families and the community
• Support enrollment growth through exceptional parent experiences
• Represent the COA brand through professionalism and service
We are looking for passionate early childhood leaders who bring both experience and heart to their work.
Education
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) or CDA
Experience
• 2–4 years of leadership experience
• 2+ years working in a licensed childcare facility
Skills
• Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities
• Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
• Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and childcare management systems
Additional Requirements
• Must meet all state licensing requirements
• Ability to adapt and lead through challenging situations
