Final-Pack Production Technician

Are you an experienced manufacturing professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting production teams, and driving operational performance? As a Packing Manufacturing Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting daily production operations, improving line performance, and helping the team achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

Compensation & Schedule

Starting Pay: $28.93/hr
Schedule: J Shift (2-2-3 Day Shift)

What You'll Do

  • Support Supervisors, Team Coordinators, and production operators by removing barriers that impact safety, quality, and production performance.

  • Monitor production line performance and take timely action to address operational issues.

  • Execute escalation processes and coordinate support from maintenance, quality, engineering, and other support teams as needed.

  • Lead problem-solving activities, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation.

  • Support safety investigations, incident management activities, and follow-up actions.

  • Ensure compliance with LEGO safety standards, quality requirements, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Conduct quality walks, audits, and line cleaning activities to maintain product quality standards.

  • Track production performance, labor efficiency, and operational KPIs while supporting production plan execution.

  • Support Autonomous Maintenance, process confirmations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Drive 5S and LEGO Continuous Improvement (LCI) activities on the shop floor.

  • Participate in equipment installations, process changes, and improvement projects as a production representative.

  • Support training plans, skills development, and onboarding activities for team members.

  • Participate in daily operational meetings and communicate area performance and priorities.

As a Packing Manufacturing Technician, you will be a key member of the production team, helping ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations within the Packing area. This role supports the success of LEGO Manufacturing Virginia by driving operational excellence, maintaining high quality standards, and fostering a collaborative team environment. We collaborate in the production area in a safe environment with the highest quality standards, developing our human talent while fulfilling the needs of our customers, the builders of tomorrow.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 2-4 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing or production environment.

  • Experience leading, coordinating, or supporting production teams.

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Ability to adapt to changing business and production priorities.

  • Regular, reliable attendance and ability to work a 2-2-3 schedule, including overtime when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two-year technical degree or related technical education.

  • Technical background in manufacturing, production, or a related field.

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience working with production KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
