Mechanical Engineer - Application Engineer ( Hybrid )

A local firm is looking for multiple engineers or construction related candidates who have experience in the HVAC / Building Automation industry working as an application engineer / Project Engineer / Sales. This position is very technical and requires excellent communication skills as you will work directly with customers.

Similar Responsibilities:

• Review bidding documents including mechanical plans, specification, contract documents.
• Handle HVAC / BAS equipment selection and pricing, technical writing of proposal, and developing cost analysis spreadsheets for bidding.
• Communicate with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and mechanical contractors for clarification for sales engineers, application engineers and project administrators.
• Experience in the HVAC industry related to estimating or willing to learn.
• Prepares proposal and pricing breakdowns while evaluating equipment savings/costs.
• Assembles bid files, including all development information, in customer relationship management (CRM) system to prepare estimate.
• Responsible for the cost estimation of Air Distribution equipment and systems related to assigned bid opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred

● Description- Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support in the selection and application of commercial HVAC equipment.
- Oversee project execution from design development through commissioning, ensuring adherence to contract documents, specifications, and customer expectations.
- Evaluate equipment schedules, HVAC load calculations, and control sequences to support accurate system design and application.
- Prepare preliminary and final equipment submittals, including AHU, RTU, VAV, and fan selections, ensuring compliance with engineer-of-record requirements.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including drawings, correspondence, RFIs, and change orders, to reduce risk and ensure project traceability.
