This is your chance to be part of a Finance Team that is a critical business partner that manages all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management. As an Analyst on the Technology Finance team, reporting to the Manager, Technology Finance, you will focus on the areas of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of Hilton's Technology organization.

What you'll do during a typical day:

  • Evaluate monthly financial performance, identify trends, and prepare variance explanations and drivers.
  • Utilize Oracle PeopleSoft, Hyperion Financial Systems, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Pivot, etc. to analyze large datasets and continuously improve financial models for accurate and insightful forecasts.
  • Produce Monthly Business Reviews against the financial goals, providing insights to business partners for decision making.

How you'll collaborate with others:

  • Collaborate with Technology and Accounting/Finance team to perform monthly accruals and manage month-end close process.
  • Support executive-ready financial reporting, communicate financial budgets, forecast and actual results to business and finance leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with key business and finance partners across Technology and Global Brands & Commercial Services (GBCS).

Projects you'll take ownership of:

  • Participate in the monthly forecasting process and annual operating expense budget process for the Technology budget.
  • Track financial performance against stated goals, identify underlying budget risks and opportunities.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support Technology investments, contract negotiations, business cases, and other strategic initiatives.

What It Takes to Make the Stay

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • One (1) year of professional work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting, or related finance/business roles
  • Intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft Excel, including experience building financial models
  • Proficiency in building clear PowerPoint presentations for leadership and business partners
  • Four (4) days per week in McLean, VA office

It would be useful if you have:

  • Two (2) years of corporate work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or related finance/business roles
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar field
  • Proficiency with Oracle Smart View, Hyperion Essbase, and PowerBI or other business analytic tools
  • General understanding of accounting knowledge, specifically around accrual, cost allocation, and capitalization
  • Experience working with data/analytics and supporting the development of senior executive-level briefings on financial trends and forecast
  • Interest and eagerness to develop expertise in managing cloud infrastructure costs (e.g. AWS, Azure) and supporting optimization initiatives
  • Interest or experience in applying AI and emerging analytics tools to finance use cases such as scenario analysis, cost optimization, forecasting, and executive insights
