Director/Managing Director, Consulting

Overview

Our client is looking for professionals ready to redefine their career trajectories by converting deep audit experience into a value-added accounting and financial consulting career while realigning their professional goals and lifestyle needs. The Director/Managing Director will develop business, manage relationships with clients, set strategic direction of engagements and manage their execution, helping clients in a variety of industries.

• Complex accounting and financial reporting matters
• Forensic accounting and special investigations
• Merger and Acquisition financial due diligence and Quality of Earnings
• Governance, risk, and control (GRC) services related to internal controls and business process assessments
• Government contract accounting and regulatory compliance matters, including: FAR/CAS consultation, indirect rate structures, incurred cost submissions, terminations, claims, DCAA audit support, false claims, etc.

Qualifications

• Big 4 experience is a plus or strong public accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Licensed CPA in Virginia or Maryland with 10+ years of public accounting experience.
• Ability to sell business, build relationships, and leverage networks
• Strong technical accounting and audit skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead teams
• High energy with a commitment to client service and growth
• Strong project management and facilitation skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Dependable and ethical
