Locums Cardiovascular Anesthesia Physician
We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiovascular Anesthesia Physician to provide locum coverage at a hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This is an ongoing assignment working with adult patients in an inpatient setting, supporting cardiovascular surgeries and procedures. The provider will be cross-credentialed at all three hospital sites and participate in call shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia care for adult cardiovascular surgical patients, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative care
Collaborate closely with cardiovascular surgeons, perfusionists, and the multidisciplinary OR team to ensure safe and effective care
Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies and provide critical care support as needed
Participate in call rotations and provide coverage for urgent or emergent cases
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards
Cross-credentialed coverage at all three hospital sites as required
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited anesthesia residency program
Board-Certified in Anesthesiology and participating in MOC
Current State Medical License (or ability to obtain)
DEA and CSR certification required
Ability to work call shifts and cross-cover multiple sites
