Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Unit in Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This armed and driving post offers the chance to support daily operations with professionalism, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a team that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening support, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access authorization, and follow post orders for prohibited items, screening processes, and visitor control.
• Support Allied Universal protocols by maintaining a professional presence, completing required reports, and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DCJS license for Virginia roles only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
