Position Title: McDonald's General Manager
Reports To: Operations Manager and Director Of Operations
Location: Northern and Central Virginia
Position Summary
The General Manager is the driving force behind the restaurant’s operational success, financial performance, and team culture. This leader is accountable for delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, and achieving operational excellence in alignment with McDonald’s brand standards and our company core values of Faith, Family, Customers, and Community.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Recruit, train, coach, and mentor management and crew members to achieve operational goals.
Build a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture.
Lead by example in embodying company values and McDonald’s leadership behaviors.
Conduct regular performance reviews and create development plans for managers and crew.
Operational Excellence
Ensure the restaurant consistently meets or exceeds McDonald’s operational, food safety, and quality standards.
Manage all shifts to ensure smooth operations and adherence to procedures.
Oversee inventory, waste control, and equipment maintenance to maximize efficiency.
Financial Performance
Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales, profit, and cost control targets.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Implement labor scheduling and productivity plans to optimize results without compromising service quality.
Guest Experience
Foster a customer-first environment where every guest leaves satisfied.
Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively.
Leverage feedback to improve service, speed, and hospitality.
Community Engagement
Represent the brand positively in the community, supporting local events and initiatives.
Build relationships that strengthen the restaurant’s role as a community partner.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of restaurant or retail management experience, preferably in quick-service.
Proven leadership skills with a track record of developing people and delivering results.
Strong business acumen and understanding of financial statements.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Work Environment
Fast-paced, high-energy setting requiring flexibility, multitasking, and attention to detail.
Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

He first observed his parents at work as franchise owners in McDonald’s in the early 1980’s. At a young age, Craig was taught the value and responsibility of ownership, and over time, the myriad landscape of restaurant management. Upon graduation from James Madison University in 1996, Craig decided that despite a deep love of history and an appreciation for teaching, his first love was restaurant operations, and he committed his professional career to McDonald’s by becoming a 2nd Generation Owner/Operator.
Craig and his wife, Eugenia, formed E.C.C. Enterprises Holding Company in 2006 with two restaurants. Over the years that number has grown and the impact to team members and the surrounding communities has been tremendous. In all of their work, Craig and Eugenia aim to glorify God and to generously give back and pay forward the blessings and talents afforded to them. They live and work as servant leaders and prioritize faith, family, customers and community while never taking for granted the grace given to enjoy serving others. Today, E.C.C. Enterprises is comprised of 12 restaurants in Northern and Central Virginia. The driving mission is to bring grace into the marketplace by extending great hospitality in a warm, positive environment; presenting prompt, accurate service; and tending to the needs of team members and customers. With over five hundred team members and counting, E.C.C. Enterprises continues to grow and flourish.Company Description
