Industrial Maintenance Technologist
About the Role
As an Industrial Maintenance Technologist, you’ll be the go-to expert keeping our plant’s machinery, equipment, and electrical systems running at peak performance. Your day blends proactive care with rapid response—moving from preventive maintenance to diagnosing alarms, collaborating with production, and returning equipment to service swiftly and safely.
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time, 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation
- Average of 14 days off each month
- Extended weekends off every other week
- Compensation up to $35/hour, depending on experience
A Day in the Life
- Start with inspections and tests, completing preventive maintenance to keep assets reliable.
- Address issues as they arise—discuss machine concerns with supervisors and managers to align on priorities.
- Diagnose faults, dismantle defective equipment, and install new or repaired parts to restore uptime.
- Work safely at all times—operate with a respirator when required and keep safety gear clean and ready.
- Service mechanical systems: clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, and gears, and repair/replace components.
- Handle electrical systems: install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment.
- Design, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- React to basic system alarms and perform resets as needed to stabilize operations.
- Communicate clearly with nearby teammates to coordinate work, share production updates, and complete tasks.
- Move carts, pallets, and toolboxes between areas to access tools and parts for repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company policies and safety rules.

Qualifications
- 1 year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3
Core Skills
- PLC troubleshooting and programming experience
- Strong electrical, mechanical, and equipment troubleshooting
- Hydraulics experience
- Ability to diagnose industrial automation equipment issues
- Experience in a manufacturing environment

- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
