Cloud and AI Innovation Team(CAIT), is a team within AWS Global Sales (AGS) organization dedicated to maintaining AWS's position as a leading cloud provider while expanding its leadership in AI. This team's mission is to apply and extend AWS's well-established cloud practices to the AI domain. CAIT focuses on several key areas: defining and executing on Cloud and AI maturity models, enhancing system resilience, strengthening security and governance measures, developing centers of excellence, and driving business value. By adapting these proven strategies CAIT works to position AWS for continued growth and innovation in both cloud and AI technologies. CAIT leverages AWS's extensive cloud adoption experience to guide customers through the complexities of advanced Cloud and AI implementations. Recognizing parallels between early cloud adoption challenges and current AI integration hurdles, CAIT aims to accelerate enterprise transformation across industries. We focus on addressing critical challenges including business value definition, data strategy, security, workload resilience, and hybrid cloud architecture through proven innovation, execution, and scaling mechanisms. It is a leadership role to sharpen this team to bring them as close to the edge as possible while tightening the collaboration with Service teams, Specialists, GenAIIC (ProServ), Marketing, and WWPS. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of business leadership, thought leadership, transformation, and AWS skills aligned to our customers pursuing large cloud adoption initiatives/migrations but facing disruption/opportunities tied to GenAI. This role is aligned to our field sales organization and blends strategic leadership with building deep technical solutions. This is a leader of leaders role, and the ideal candidate will develop and grow customer-obsessed technical professionals who partner with customers to advise, mentor, and assist in migrating and modernizing production workloads to the Cloud. Their ability to manage specialists who provide technical thought leadership is key. Open to traveling up to 75% domestically. Key job responsibilities- Collaborate closely with field teams, service teams, area specialists and the WWSO GTM/Specialists to drive customer outcomes
- Directly manage the Worldwide Technologist teams, sharpening their GenAI-specific skills, mapping their operational excellence expertise to revenue-aligned outcomes.
- Accountable interface to service lines and service line executives (including WWSO); Building and curating customer to service-line relationships; Technical and service escalation oversight - single point to check / prioritize all service line activities
- Serve as the AWS executive technical sponsor for big customer initiatives
- Identify patterns across Geos to help AWS publish white papers, customer technical case studies, blog posts, pre-sales first call decks, and other content important to drive scale, standardization, and repeatability
- At any point in time, be driving disruptive (for the customer) technology projects
- Take ownership of and lead executive briefings
- Build mechanisms for sharing learnings across the team
CAIT's mission is to To accelerate customer outcomes by solving complex, emergent challenges in cloud, data, and AI. CAIT's proactive, collaborative approach addresses systemic issues before they impact customers, focusing on critical areas such as business value, data and AI strategy, security, governance, resilience, and Multicloud solutions through proven innovation and scaling methods. Team engages with executives to influence their strategic approach to cloud, data, and AI adoption, developing clear roadmaps, and driving measurable business outcomes. Provieds technical guidance to field teams for targeted surge and acceleration support to address complex customer challenges. Builds strategic partnership with AWS service teams focusing on work that exposes us to customer scenarios which push the boundaries of our services.
Basic Qualifications- 15+ years of delivering product, architecture, and engineering results
- 10+ years of technology leadership managing and building teams
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing technical professionals
- Demonstrated leadership and strong judgement in managing growth and diversity in a fast expanding, cross functional organization
- Experience successfully partnering with and communicating effectively to C-suite Executives on long term, highly strategic programs
- Proven track record of senior executive engagement and ability to partner with executive leaders on closing and executing large, highly technical strategic co-development and partnership engagements
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Experience in working with senior leadership teams both internally and externally
- Experience and ability to work in a global context with customers and colleagues
- Experience with on-premises to cloud migrations, IT transformation, information security and risk management for enterprise customers
- Strong judgement and business acumen in determining strategic vision and running a complex technical business
- A Master's Degree in computer science, MIS, engineering or equivalent technical degree
- 10+ years with architecting and deploying complex solutions for enterprise customers
- 5+ years with architecting and deploying cloud solutions
- Large-scale systems integration involving on-premises technology and public cloud platforms
- Experience architecting and deploying production cloud workloads on AWS
- Track record of delivering organization transformation in support of digital technology and business outcomes
- Enterprise Architecture experience, certifications, and building modern cloud strategies
- Familiarity at a hands-on level with AWS technologies key to operating broadcast infrastructure workloads in the cloud, including exposure to AWS

The base pay for this position ranges from $241,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
