SUMMARY : The Floor Assembler I performs repetitive bench or assembly line operations to mass-produce mechanical and/or electrical products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

• Assemble parts,components or units in specified relationship to each other.

• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble parts according to product specifications.

• Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary.

• Package assemblies as required.

• Run machines, including arbor presses and riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.

• Achieve production efficiency and quality standards.

• Maintain clean and safe work area.

• Rotate workstations according to business and production needs.

• Adhere to work schedules.

• Follow company policies regarding attendance, overtime, cell phone use, breaks and smoking.

Job Requirements,Skills and Qualifications

• Experience using hand and power tools.

• Work under moderate supervision

• Rotate work areas as needed.

• Attention to detail and quality focus.

• Excellent attendance

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a production/ warehouse environment where you can expect elevated levels of noise, dust and forklift traffic. It is a non-temperature controlled environment where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
