Data Quality & Records Entry Specialist
A day in this role — Richmond, VA (23231)
When you start your day, your first stop is our data queue. You validate new submissions, spot-check for inconsistencies, and enter information into our databases with precision. Mid-morning, you tidy up digital folders so teammates can quickly find what they need. After lunch, you assist with a simple report, turning raw numbers into a clear summary. Before the day wraps, you answer a few data-related questions from colleagues and note improvements to streamline how information flows tomorrow.
What you’ll handle
- Enter and update records across internal systems with accuracy and speed.
- Confirm data correctness before and after entry to protect integrity.
- Organize and maintain both digital and physical files for fast retrieval.
- Support the creation of reports and concise summaries based on the data you manage.
- Partner with the team to refine and improve data entry processes.
- Respond to inquiries related to data and provide timely support.
About you
- High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in data or information management is a plus.
- Previous experience in data entry or a closely related role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Self-directed with effective time-management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
