Responsibilities

• Perform operation, maintenance, and repair (OM&R) of HVAC/R systems and integrated control systems (ICS) base-wide, including chillers, air handlers, compressors, chilled water pumps, valve actuators, electronic dampers, temperature sensors, flow switches, fan coil units, CRAC units, and direct digital controls (DDC).
• Conduct regular inspections, operational testing, system balancing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes and regulations.
• Manage chemical water treatment programs for closed-loop HVAC systems, such as chilled water systems.
• Operate a comprehensive refrigerant recovery program, ensuring proper handling and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications.
• Follow all technical orders, company policies, and safety procedures, including those required by OSHA and the U.S. Air Force.
• Participate in ongoing training programs and maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Safeguard and properly utilize government and contractor-provided property, equipment, and tools.
• Accurately report work hours and complete timesheets as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support base operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in industrial chilled water systems and Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment, including but not limited to: AquaForce Carrier chillers (air cooled, 80-300 tons), York chillers (air cooled, 80-300 tons), VRF split units (17-30 tons), Liebert CRAC units (chilled water/refrigerant types), Petra chillers/DX units (75-100 tons), Copeland refrigeration units, VFDs, and chilled water supply pumps.
• Completion of in-residence training for HVAC/R systems (documentation required).
• EPA 608 Universal Certification (Core, Type I, Type II, and Type III) required.
• U.S. citizenship with a current, valid U.S. passport.
• Active U.S. SECRET Security Clearance required prior to deployment.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to pass flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge.
• Must meet employment and deployment qualification requirements, including psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, and background checks.
• Successful completion of online and hands-on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) defense training, including fit testing of DoD-provided protective gear.
• Willingness to work primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor assignments as needed.
• Ability to work overtime and shift work as required by operational needs.
• Preparedness to function in a wartime environment to support U.S. interests.
• 100% overseas assignment.

Compensation

$105,000 – $110,000 annual salary
