At Fairfax Radiology Centers (FRC), our nurses play a critical role in delivering safe, compassionate patient care while supporting cutting-edge cardiac and coronary imaging procedures.

Why this role matters
As a Cardiac CT Nurse at Prosperity Imaging Center, you’ll serve as both a clinical expert and patient advocate throughout the imaging experience. From medication administration and cardiac monitoring to patient education and emergency response, your work helps ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care every day.
This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys autonomy, collaboration, and direct patient interaction in an outpatient imaging setting.

What your day looks like
• Support cardiac and coronary imaging procedures within the CT department
• Administer oral beta blockers (such as Metoprolol) and nitroglycerin per physician order and established protocols
• Assist with IV placement and venous access procedures
• Perform creatinine level checks utilizing iStat technology
• Obtain patient medical histories and medication lists, including over-the-counter medications
• Review discharge instructions with patients before and after procedures as needed
• Monitor and support patients throughout imaging procedures
• Act as a patient advocate by educating, counseling, and reassuring patients and families
• Respond to medical emergencies within the Imaging Center
• Occasionally assist with patient positioning and support during procedures while utilizing appropriate protective shielding
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and center leadership
• Assist with OSHA compliance activities and ongoing clinical education initiatives
• Occasionally travel to other FRC locations to provide clinical support

What makes you a great fit
• Current RN or LPN licensure in Virginia and/or an accepting Compact State
• Current BLS (CPR/AED) certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Prior experience with cardiac medication administration and patient monitoring strongly preferred
• Strong communication, patient care, and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment
