Job Title: New Hire Utility Operator

Job Description

As a New Hire Utility Operator, you will be responsible for learning to operate equipment associated with the extrusion or tube mill processes and handling aluminum products. You will start as a Utility employee, where you will receive training to operate, support, and move materials on and off machines using lifting techniques and hoists.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all quality objectives are met, operate or assist operators in extrusion or casting equipment.
• Report and review any unusual conditions to lead operators or supervisors.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to meet daily production goals.
• Work in a Union environment and adhere to its terms, especially concerning shift movement and flexibility.
• Start as a utility worker, learning all departments before moving to a specific department permanently.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and some machine operating experience.
• Production or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation if not already experienced.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.31 - $20.31/hr.
