Advisory and Brokerage Accounting Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Advisory & Brokerage Controllers team. The team member would be a self-starter responsible for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. This role will have the opportunity to engage with groups across the organization as part of key business projects and initiatives.

• Prepare monthly invoices for reimbursable expenses to be sent to clients and manage accounts receivable process

• Serve as liaison between the line of business and centralized accounts payable processing function on all matters related to vendors and accounts payable

• Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations

• Support quarterly SEC and/or Regulatory Reporting as well as other ad hoc reporting requests

• Interact directly with key business partners, Finance associates, and associates throughout the controller's group

• Review General Ledger for accuracy of expense allocation by departments and cost centers

• Identify and drive process efficiencies

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience

• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, or finance, or securities or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Finance or Accounting

• At least 2 years of accounting or securities industry experience or a combination

• Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series License 7, or 10, or 24, or 27, or 99 or any combination
