Solutions Architect SME - Cyber Mission
Program Overview
About The Role
Peraton has an immediate need for a Solutions Architect SME to support growth opportunities for the Cyber Mission Sector. This is a remote work position with the flexibility to travel to locations within the DC/Metro and Annapolis Junction, MD offices to support solution activities.
As a Solutions Architect SME, you will be a member of a capture team, supporting the Lead Solution Architect (LSA) in the development of compliant, compelling and executable solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations. Have an expertise in one or more of the following areas, systems engineering, applications development, cyber security, cloud, and infrastructure solutions to address technology needs of our customers while supporting the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Solutions Architect SME will work closely with Business Development, Capture Manager, LSA, and Corporate Offerings teams to determine the overall solution strategy and approach for their areas of expertise to align to the customer’s objectives and requirements including merging industry point of view with technical knowledge and mission understanding to generate value propositions and approaches to solve Government customer challenges.
- The Solutions Architect SME is responsible for the technical solution development, and business case alignment of Peraton solutions to the Government client’s proposal requirements.
- The Solutions Architect SME supports the LSA and solution professionals in the development of integrated, cost-effective solutions for inclusion in proposal responses that meet the customer’s requirements and maximizes Peraton’s competitive advantage.
- Possess the ability to collaborate effectively with the capture team leaders (Capture Lead, LSA) to design the solution and key solution parameters prior to costing activities.
- Possess the ability to articulate to senior leadership and effectively write into proposals Peraton’s technical discriminators.
- The Solutions Architect SME will support the Capture Manager and LSA in the development of solutions presented during governance reviews with senior Peraton management, identifying and evaluating solution risks and create strategies and plans to mitigate those risks.
- Establish strong relationships with Peraton partners to develop high quality solutions and compelling value propositions within their technical areas of expertise.
- Understanding of Operational environments and how to position Peraton capabilities to deliver end-to-end mission value to program sponsors.
- Possess the ability to interact with customers to gain insights into customer needs and support shaping activities by articulation the benefits of Peraton solutions.
- Leverage a practical understanding of AI-enabled tools and techniques to support solution development, analysis, and proposal activities in collaboration with the capture team.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field and a minimum of 16 years industry experience (IC, DoD, and/or DHS customer) or a minimum of 14+ years industry experience with Masters OR a minimum of 10+ years industry experience with PhD.
- Minimum 3 years of experience creating successful technical solutions for large, complex opportunities and proposal submissions for US Federal Government customers.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with the LSAs, Capture Managers, Program Managers, proposal managers, and Business Development teams to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated expert one or more mission focused, technologies, services and solutions, systems engineering, applications development, cyber security, cloud, and infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and communicate technical solutions at the senior and executive management levels.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Must be local to the Herndon or Reston, VA Peraton offices.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range
Details
Target Salary Range: $229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
