Registered Nurse Job Details
- Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
- Location: Wytheville, VA 24382 – Virginia nursing jobs
- Unit: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 6:30am)
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed weekly hours)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs (scrubs provided if needed)
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910-$1960
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Willingness to float to related units as needed
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Deliver compassionate patient care to mothers and newborns in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, assist with deliveries, and support postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Document patient care using Phillips Intellispace Perinatal and Meditech Magic 5.6.7 EHR systems
- Ensure compliance with AWOHNN and Virginia state patient ratios and safety standards
- Float to other nursing units as needed to provide clinical support
