Qualifications
- AA in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required
- Two years of early childhood education experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach your class in a manner consistent with the goals and philosophies of the academy. This includes (1.) Treating each child with dignity & respect. (2.) Assisting with activities that will encourage each child's growth in the areas of emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development. (3.) Helping children learn to think creatively, and solve problems independently, and respectfully of themselves and others.
- Arrange and decorate the learning environment in the classroom to optimize the children's ability to actively learn in their surroundings.
- Actively seek to update skills by attending outside workshops, online courses, and conferences, becoming active in professional organizations, and seeking new ideas and materials for use in the classroom.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children and their families.
- Maintain professional conduct and attitudes in working with parents, staff, visitors, and the general public.
- Generally promote a good rapport among staff members.
- Attend all staff meetings and programs required by the academy
