Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire (Approx. 9 months)
Pay: $35.00 – $38.00/hour (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Addison Group is partnering with a large, multi-state government contracting organization to identify a skilled Benefits Administrator. This company supports a diverse workforce across the U.S. and internationally, offering services in areas such as IT, engineering, and construction. The HR team is well-established and collaborative, supporting a workforce of over 1,000 employees.
Job Description:
The Benefits Administrator will manage and coordinate employee benefits and leave programs across multiple states. This position serves as the primary resource for employee inquiries and plays a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant benefits administration. The role also supports process improvements, open enrollment activities, and ongoing audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily administration of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans
- Manage leave programs such as FMLA, short-term disability, and long-term disability
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits and leave-related questions
- Coordinate and support annual open enrollment, including employee communications and system updates
- Track and process leave requests in compliance with applicable policies and regulations
- Perform benefits billing reconciliation and partner with vendors/brokers to resolve discrepancies
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, ACA)
- Maintain and manage benefits-related communications and shared inboxes
- Identify and implement process improvements within benefits and leave administration
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, including leave management
- Experience in high-volume, multi-state environments (government contracting strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems; experience with benefits platforms required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other federal/state employment laws
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR or related field)
- Certifications such as CBP, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and/or similar systems preferred
Additional Details:
- Salary range upon conversion: $65,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience)
