Office Manager / Business Development Manager

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 Base + Uncapped Bonus + Monthly Incentives

Location: Richmond, VA

Express Employment Professionals is looking for an energetic, competitive, and results-driven Office Manager to lead one of our growing staffing offices. This is not a typical office management position. Approximately 60% of your time will be spent outside the office developing new business and expanding relationships with existing clients.

What You'll Do

Business Development (Approximately 60%)

• Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and face-to-face meetings.
• Build long-term partnerships with manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, skilled trades, and office service clients.
• Grow existing accounts by identifying additional staffing opportunities.
• Conduct client visits, presentations, and workforce planning meetings.
• Create customized staffing solutions that solve customer challenges.
• Meet and exceed monthly sales goals.

Leadership & Office Management (Approximately 40%)

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of recruiters and staffing specialists.
• Monitor recruiting activity and hiring metrics.
• Conduct daily sales and recruiting meetings.
• Help recruiters fill client orders quickly with qualified candidates.
• Ensure exceptional customer service for clients and associates.
• Maintain office performance, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Develop future leaders within the office.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of outside sales or business development experience
• Leadership or management experience preferred
• Staffing industry experience is a plus—but not required
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Competitive mindset with a passion for winning
• Ability to coach and develop others
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
