Maintenance / Regional Box Truck Driver:

SpecialtyRx is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Maintenance / Regional Box Truck Driver to join our team. This position's primary responsibility is operating a 26-foot box truck to transport pharmacy equipment, medication carts, shelving, supplies, and other materials between SpecialtyRx locations, vendors, and long-term care facilities throughout the region.

The ideal candidate is comfortable driving regionally with overnight travel as needed, has a clean driving record, and is willing to assist with light maintenance, equipment installations, and warehouse support when deliveries are complete. Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Leadership team, this role requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Maintenance / Regional Box Truck Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for regional deliveries throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and surrounding states.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload pharmacy equipment, medication carts, shelving, supplies, and other materials.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while maintaining delivery schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed accurately and professionally.
  • Maintain all required delivery documentation, mileage logs, and electronic records.
  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and setup of pharmacy equipment at customer facilities and SpecialtyRx locations.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks including assembling shelving, moving equipment, replacing minor parts, and assisting with facility projects as needed.
  • Support warehouse operations by loading, unloading, organizing, and staging equipment for upcoming deliveries.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations (where applicable), company policies, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Travel overnight as business needs require.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience driving a 26-foot box truck or similar commercial vehicle strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one preferred (if applicable).
  • Previous delivery, transportation, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude or general maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable with regional travel, including overnight stays when necessary.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to push equipment weighing up to 600 pounds with assistance.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism.
