bilingual Employment Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Bilingual Employment Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA, 23231. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through the job search process, providing support, and facilitating their journey toward successful employment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one consultations with clients to assess their employment needs and goals.
- Provide career counseling and guidance in both English and Spanish, ensuring clear communication.
- Develop and implement job search strategies tailored to individual client profiles.
- Assist clients with resume writing, interview preparation, and job application processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job openings and opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on job readiness and professional development.
- Track client progress and maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Collaborate with community organizations to enhance support services for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Previous experience in employment services, career counseling, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and job search platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for helping others achieve their employment goals.
