Front of House Restaurant Manager Job Description

Our store manager candidates must maintain constant contact with both staff and customers. They will work closely and report to the Director of Operations. They set the standard for \Operational Excellence\ and lead by example while mentoring and developing the Front of House Team. They need to ensure their staff provides the highest quality customer service and monitor the overall financial performance of the store. They must be prepared to deliver daily excellence across a full spectrum of operational activities at both operational and tactical levels. They must greet the staff and customers, provide them with what they need, offer intelligent recommendations and suggestions, foster customer and brand trust, assist the staff with any requests, and ensure they have a great experience. More importantly, a store manager candidate should be reliable, accommodating, courteous, and friendly.

Responsibilities of a Front of House Restaurant Manager

  • Deliver a remarkable dining experience for all guests
  • Run shifts efficiently with or without other leaders
  • Work with other leaders and staff cohesively
  • Deal with customer complaints and queries
  • Ensure the team is working fast, being productive, and accurate
  • Oversee, coach, train, and evaluate the performance of FOH staff and give feedback
  • Maximize profitability and productivity
  • Keep the team accountable with all systems and processes
  • Make quick decisions that will safely and positively affect the restaurant
  • Execute all systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment
  • Motivate staff to meet sales targets
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
  • Liaise with leadership
  • Provide opportunities for staff advancements
  • Ensure the restaurant complies with all procedures, processes, and systems required by Chick-fil-A and the restaurant
  • Thoroughly understand and know how to work every position
  • Able to step in as often as needed in any position
  • Vigilant attention to the organization and appearance of the Front of House and any areas used by the Front of House
  • Cash management
  • Maintain financial and statistical records
  • Perform opening and/or end-of-day procedures
  • Inventory management
  • Maintain accurate reporting
  • Deliver daily FOH performance reports to all leaders
  • Meet or exceed Chick-fil-A quality requirements
  • Morning managers must be able to arrive before the opening time of the restaurant
  • Night managers must be able to stay later than the restaurant's closing time
  • Assist in all cleaning tasks
  • Work between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Open the restaurant on time with another team member

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work Fridays and Saturdays

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's in Business or similar fields
  • Five years of experience in restaurant leadership/management
  • Currently ServSafe Certified
